Privacy Policy for imgDuo

Effective Date: April 4, 2026

Welcome to imgDuo (https://imgduo.com). Your privacy is our core mission. Unlike traditional image converters that upload your files to remote servers, imgDuo utilizes advanced client-side technology to ensure your data never leaves your device.

1Our "Zero-Upload" Commitment

At imgDuo, we prioritize your security by using browser-based compression technology.

  • Local Processing: We use the browser-image-compression library which runs entirely within your web browser.
  • No Server Storage: Your images (JPG, PNG, WebP) are never uploaded, stored, or seen by our team.
  • Web Worker Efficiency: We utilize non-blocking Web Workers to process your images locally, ensuring your device stays fast while your data stays private.

2Offline Capability & Data Sovereignty

imgDuo is designed to be a privacy-focused utility. Because all processing happens on your local hardware:

  • You can use our tools offline once the page has loaded.
  • There is zero risk of data intercepts or server-side leaks.
  • You maintain 100% ownership and control of your original and converted files at all times.

3Information We Collect (Analytics)

To improve the user experience and monitor site performance, we use Google Analytics. This service collects non-identifiable information such as:

  • Browser type and device category.
  • Time spent on the site.
  • Which tools (Compressor or Converter) are used most frequently.
Note: Google Analytics does not see or collect the images you process.

4Cookies and Tracking

We use minimal cookies required for Google Analytics to function. These help us understand traffic patterns and improve our global delivery. You can choose to disable cookies through your individual browser settings without affecting the functionality of our image tools.

5Global Compliance (GDPR & CCPA)

Although imgDuo does not collect personal data or store user files, we respect global privacy standards:

  • GDPR (Europe): No personal data is processed on our servers.
  • CCPA (California): We do not sell any user information, as we do not collect any.
